INVITATION TO SUBMIT EXPRESSION OF INTEREST AS AN INSURANCE BROKER OR UNDERWRITER FOR NDIC BUILDINGS NATIONWIDE

The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation [NDIC] wishes to invite reputable insurance brokerage companies or underwriters with reputable track record of good performance and cognate experience in insurance to submit expression of interest as a Broker or Underwriter for the insurance of the Corporation’s Buildings.

SCOPE OF CONTRACT

(A) INSURANCE BROKER
To serve as the Corporation’s broker in matters relating to the insurance of the Corporation’s buildings nationwide. [Standard tender forms indicating location of Buildings and any other relevant information therein will be collected by prospective bidders].

(B) INSURANCE UNDERWRITER
To underwrite the insurance of the Corporation’s buildings in liaison with the Corporation’s Insurance Broker [Standard tender forms indicating locations of assets and any other relevant information therein will be collected by prospective bidders].

Interested companies should collect detailed information and bid documents from the Head of Administration Unit before submission of Expression of Interest.

BID REQUIREMENTS

Interested bidders must satisfy the following minimum requirements:

         a] Evidence of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission [CAC] and current operating license issued by NAICOM.
         b] Certified True Copy of Memorandum and Articles of Association.
         c]  Last three years of Company’s Audited Accounts.
         d] Last three years Tax Clearance Certificate.
         e] Evidence of VAT Remittance.
         f]  Must have a verifiable office location address in Abuja.
         g] Evidence to show fulfillment of Company’s obligations with respect to pensions.
         h] Copies of Certified Financial Statement of the Company for the last three months.
          i] Detailed information on technical personnel and key staff of the Company including their experience.
          j] A sworn affidavit that the company is not in receivership.
          k] Verifiable evidence of similar jobs done in the past.
          l] Any other relevant information/documentation to enhance the company’s application.
         m] Evidence of VAT Registration Certificate and TIN.
          n] Evidence of financial capability/Bank Support.

SUBMISSION OF EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

Five copies of the Expression of interest detailing work approach should be submitted in sealed envelope clearly marked ‘’EXPRESSION OF INTEREST AS A BROKER OR AN UNDERWRITER’’ and addressed to:

The Head,
Administration Unit,
Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation [NDIC],
Plot 447/448 Constitution Avenue, Central Business District,
Abuja, Nigeria.

The expression of interests must be submitted on or before 4 pm two weeks from the date of this publication. Bidders are expected to sign a register before dropping their bids in the tender box. Any bid/document submitted after the closing date and time specified above stands automatically disqualified. Submission of bids by post is unacceptable.

OPENING OF BIDS

Opening of bids shall be at 5.00pm on the date of closure of submission. The names of the successful bidders shall be posted on NDIC notice board at its Head Office and the Corporation’s website.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

i]  Failure to satisfactorily fulfill the conditions contained in the bid document will result to invalidation of such bid.
ii]  Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation [NDIC] shall reserve the right to verify the authenticity of claim[s] made by the bidders.
iii]  Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation [NDIC] shall reserve the right to reject any submission based on unverifiable information.
Iv] This advert also serves as invitation to any interested NGO and members of the general public who may wish to witness the opening exercise.
