INVITATION TO TENDER FOR THE MAINTENANCE RETAINERSHIP SERVICE CONTRACT OF THE CENRAL AIRCONDITIONING SYSTEM
AT THE NDIC HEAD OFFICE, ABUJA

The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation [NDIC] wishes to invite reputable companies with a track record of good performance in maintenance and service of central airconditioning systems for the maintenance retainership service contract of the central airconditioning system at its Head Office located at
Plot 447/448 Constitution Avenue, Central Business District, Abuja.

The airconditioning system is made up of the following equipments:
• Chillers                   - 4 Nos.
 (Carrier make of 210 tons cooling capacity)  
• Air handling Units   - 14 Nos.
• Cold water pump     - 4 Nos.
• Chilled water pipes   - lots
• Control (mimic) panel   - 1
• System Electrical panel   - lots
• Direct Expansion units   - 4 Nos.
 (ITD – 2nos. & Roof top – 2 nos)

SCOPE OF WORK
       
1. Four (4) quarterly services to be carried out on the installation,

2. Repair works to be carried out on the system as the need arises at separate agreed cost.

REQUIREMENTS FOR TECHNICAL/FINANCIAL TENDER

Interested bidders must satisfy the following requirements for the technical bid:

a) Evidence of registration with Corporate Affairs Commissioning (CAC).
b). Certified true copy and memorandum of articles of association.
c). Company certified audited accounts for the past three (3) successive years (2009, 2008 and 2007).
d) Tax clearance certificate for three (3) years (2009, 2008 and 2007).
e) Tax Identification Number (TIN) obtainable from Federal Inland Revenue Services (FIRS)

f) VAT registration certificate and evidence of VAT remittances.
g) Evidence of financial capability or banking support.
h) Bank reference from the company’s bankers.
i) A sworn statement that the company is not in receivership.
j) Profile of the company indicating its managerial and technical capacities.
k) Evidence of a standard service workshop capable of undertaking after sales support service.
l) Evidence of verifiable dealership with Carrier Aircondition manufacturer.
m) Evidence of verifiable past experiences in handling similar jobs.
n) Any other relevant information or documentation to enhance the company’s application.

SUBMISSION OF TENDER DOCUMENTS

Four (4) copies each of the technical /financial tenders should be submitted in sealed envelopes and clearly marked “TENDER FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF CENTRAL AIRCONDITIONING SYSTEM, ABUJA” and addressed to:

THE DIRECTOR OF ADMINISTRATION,
NDIC, PLOT 447/448 CONSTITUTRION AVENUE [2ND FLOOR],
CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT,
 ABUJA, NIGERIA.

The tender documents must be submitted on or before the 4:00pm of two (2) weeks from the date of publication.
Tenderers are expected to sign a register before dropping their tenders in the tender box.
Any tender submitted after the date and time of stated above stands disqualified.
Submission of tender by post is not acceptable.

OPENING OF TENDERS

The opening of tenders shall be at 5:00pm on the date of closure of tender submission.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

i) Prospective tenderers are advised to inspect the installation before tendering.
ii) Failure to satisfactorily meet the conditions for tender will result to invalidation of such tenders.
iii) NDIC shall reserve the right to verify the authenticity of claims made and to disqualify any tenderer on false or unverifiable claim.
iv) NDIC shall not be liable for any expenses incurred by the prospective tenderers in preparing their tenders or for inspection visits carried out.
v) This advert also serves as an invitation to any interested NGO and members of the general public who may wish to observe the exercise.
