PAYMENT OF SECOND LIQUIDATION DIVIDEND TO DEPOSITORS

Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation in its capacity as the Liquidator of the closed Leadbank Plc is pleased to announce that it has completed arrangement to pay second liquidation dividend to the depositors of Leadbank Plc (In-Liquidation).

 

The Corporation is on this occasion declaring liquidation dividend of 11Kobo per Naira to the depositors of Leadbank Plc from the funds realized from the assets of the closed bank with effect from Monday, September 06, 2010.  Thus, bringing the liquidation dividend so far declared by the closed bank to 26Kobo per Naira.

 

All Public Sector depositors of the closed bank are hereby advised to collect their insured deposit and liquidation dividend from our paying agent, Afribank Nigeria Plc, at the former Leadbank Plc branches where their accounts were domiciled or (additional) locations as may be designated by Afribank Plc.

 

Depositors are required to present their Cheque Books, Savings Passbooks, Term Deposit Certificates, Statements of Accounts and other documents as proof of account ownership.  Corporate identifications would also be required.

 

For those wishing to collect on behalf of Ministries and Corporate bodies, proper written authorization and identification will be required which must be endorsed by signatories to the account.

 

The Corporation wishes to remind all Private Sector Depositors of Leadbank Plc who have not verified their deposits at Afribank Nigeria Plc for the full payment of their deposits to do so.  All private sector depositors are to collect their deposits at their former Leadbank Plc branches where their accounts were domiciled.


 

For further clarification or any assistance, depositors should contact the representatives of Head, Claims Resolution Department in any of the underlisted centres.
