Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) has completed arrangements to commence verification and payment to the depositors of ADIF, Birnin Kudu, Ezumuzo, Impact, Milestone and Trinity Microfinance Banks on Monday, January 17, 2011.  However, the verification and payment of the closed Integrated Microfinance Bank will commence on Monday, January 24, 2011 at the branch or sub branch of the bank.

The depositors of all the seven (7) banks are advised to verify their claims at the closed branches with their savings passbooks, withdrawal slips, cheque books, term deposit certificates and account statements before collecting their deposits at the nearest branch of Intercontinental Bank Plc. Those willing to collect for individuals or corporate bodies are to present written and endorsed authorization and identification by signatories to the accounts.

Meanwhile, we urge Directors of the 19 closed microfinance banks to immediately contact Special Insured Institutions Department (SIID) of the Corporation and make available all records of their banks, failing which legal action will be taken against them.
