REQUEST: INVITATION TO TENDER FOR PUBLIC AWARENESS SURVEY OF THE DEPOSIT INSURANCE SCHEME OF THE CORPORATION
INTRODUCTION:
The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) wishes to invite reputable Consultants to tender for a re-branding of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC).
The scheme was introduced in Nigeria to provide a further layer of protection to depositors and complement the role of prudent bank management as well as the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) supervisory activities in ensuring safe and sound banking practices.
OBJECTIVES OF THE SURVEY
The survey is being proposed as a means of enhancing the public awareness/perception of the Deposit Insurance Scheme in Nigeria.
The specific objectives of the survey are:
i) Collate and analyze information regarding the Public’s understanding of the Deposit Insurance Scheme,
ii) Identify methods that can be adopted by the Corporation to enhance the efficacy of its public awareness programme, and
iii) Make recommendation to Management on how to improve the public awareness efforts with a view to enhancing the contributions of the scheme in the promotion of a stable financial system.
DURATION OF THE PROJECT
The duration of the entire exercise should not be more than six months.
TENDER REQUIREMENTS
Interested bidders must submit their bids along with the following minimum requirements:
● Evidence of valid certificate of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
● Tax Clearance Certificate for the past three years (i.e. 2006, 2007, 2008).
● VAT registration certificate and evidence of VAT remittances.
● Bank reference from the company’s bankers.
● Evidence of financial capacity and banking support.
● Company’s certified audited accounts for the past three (3)
Years.
● Profile of the company, indicating its managerial, technical and operational capacity.
● Evidence to show fulfillment of Company’s obligations with respect to pensions.
● Interested Companies should obtain the tender documents from Administration Unit, 2nd floor, NDIC Headquarters Plot 447/448 Constitution Avenue, Central Business District, Abuja upon payment of the tender fee of ten thousand naira (N10,000.00) in Bank Draft made payable to the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation, Abuja.
SUBMISSION OF TENDER DOCUMENTS
The tender documents must be securely bound and enclosed in a sealed envelop that is marked at the top-right hand corner “TENDER FOR PUBLIC AWARENESS SURVEY” and addressed to:

Plot 447/448, Constitution Avenue, Central Business District, Abuja.
All prospective tenderers are expected to drop their tenders in the tenders’ box located at Administration Unit at NDIC Headquarters by 4.00pm, not later than two weeks from the date of this publication.
Submission of tenders by post would not be accepted. Tenderers are expected to sign a register before dropping their tenders in the tenders’ box. Any tender/document submitted after the closing date and time specified above, stands automatically disqualified.
OPENING OF TENDERS
Opening of tenders shall be at 5.00pm on the date of closure of submission. The name of the successful company shall be posted on the NDIC Notice Board at the Head Office and at the Corporation’s website.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
● Failure to satisfactorily fulfill the conditions as requested above will result to invalidation of such tenders.
● NDIC shall reserve the right to verify the authenticity of claim(s) made by the tendering parties.
● NDIC shall reserve the right to reject any submission based on unverified information.
● Only companies that are pre-qualified will be formally communicated in writing.
